Who is a pretty boy then?

  • At the edge of a lead
  • Leap
  • The bear family looked completely insignificant as they roamed across the pack ice
  • Nothing edible here, time to move on!
  • They were curious but also very cautious
  • Mum and the other cub also approached the ship
  • Who is a pretty boy then?
  • Checking us all out...
  • After nursing one of the cubs was very curious and approached the ship.....
  • Always watched by a gull!
  • This image proved that the kill was a young Walrus, one of the main prey species for bears in these waters
  • Glaucous Gulls were keen to share the kill
  • Animals in their environment. Polar Bears are true icons of the Arctic
  • This carcass was a good meal for the bear family
