Kicheche, Kenya 2019

We started our Kenyan adventure with a four night stay in Kicheche Bush Camp in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. The wildlife viewing here was amazing with superb views of lions, leopards and cheetah as well as all other typical East African species. We were fortunate that a coalition of five male cheetahs known as the Fast Five visited the conservancy while we were there, and we witnessed them successfully hunt down a zebra foal. To see how they worked together to take down this foal was remarkable. The cubs of the Moniko pride of lions were fantastic, trying the patience of the adults and playing with each other in the early morning light. Last, but definitely not least, we saw a female leopard, Fig, and her adorable cub on several occasions, again in great light. Kicheche Bush Camp is superb and we would like to thank Darren, Emma and Nelson in particular, but also Brian and Kennedy for looking after us so well. Last but not least thanks to Michele Seamark of Safari Consultants for putting together this stay as well as the rest of our Kenya itinerary.
