Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula, 2015

We travelled on the Akademik Sergei Vavilov with Mark Carwardine and his team - Rachel Ashton, Joe Cornish, Pete Bassett and Roz Kidman-Cox. This team was outstanding in every way as were the One Ocean staff on board led by Boris Wise, surely one of the best Expedition Leaders! We encountered some brutal weather but also some magical days and overall the trip was amazing. We will never forget the sights, sounds and smells of hundreds of thousands of penguins plus elephant seals on South Georgia, but also the excursions in the Falklands, South Shetlands and the Peninsula. It is hard to think of a favourite, and also a little unfair, but Jason Harbour and Neko Harbour must be high on the list.
